Hidden snorkeling spots you can reach only by yacht near Praslin
I’ve been to Praslin a few times and always loved the beaches, but I’m starting to think the best snorkeling spots might actually be the ones you can only reach by boat or yacht. Last time we went near Curieuse, the coral was amazing but crowded. I heard there are quieter places near Sister Islands or around Ave Maria Rocks that you can only get to from the sea. Has anyone here actually tried a private yacht trip just to explore these hidden areas? Curious if it’s really worth it or more of a luxury gimmick.

and the skipper knew a couple of incredible spots that aren’t listed anywhere online. One was just past Coco Island — clear water, reef full of parrotfish, and literally no one else there the entire afternoon. Another surprise was near Félicité, where we anchored and swam among turtles. What I liked most was the flexibility — you can decide where to go depending on weather and currents. It’s not the cheapest way to snorkel, but if you split it between a few people, it’s really reasonable, and the whole day feels like an adventure rather than a tour.
